William Blake wrote:
which is beautiful. It's one of my favorites. It goes on to condemn animal cruelty in a very eloquent and profound manner.
Then I did this:
Amsterdam upside down in a wine glass. (Looking at them now, I would have wished for a better camera. I only had my phone at the time. Also I would have wished for a cleaner glass. Good thing I didn't notice that when I drank the wine.)
The sight in my wineglass led me to write:
to see the world through a glass of wine
and sunshine in the water
hold a glass in the palm of your hand
and eternity turns into an hour
Which is completely irreverent of Blake's heartfelt piece. But it seemed so apt.
